Hey Guys!

My Name is Beth, and I am the Founder of The Bakehouse Derby.

My love for baking began long before The Bakehouse was ever an idea. Some of my earliest memories are standing in the kitchen at around ten years old, baking butterfly cakes with my Mum and making Mars Bar Rice Krispie cakes with my Auntie. Baking was always more than simply making something sweet; it was time spent together, creating memories and sharing something made with love. Those moments sparked a passion that has stayed with me ever since.

The business started with a Cookie. (Kinder Bueno Cookie Bar - My fave) Back in 2020, in the middle of a national lockdown and the boredom of being off work, I created ‘The Happy Cookie Co.’ baking weekly cookie and brownie treatboxes. The Happy Cookie Co. was rapidly expanding into wholesale baking and celebration cakes and the name just didn’t fit anymore. We were more than just cookies now.

A year later, in July 2021 after many cookies, cakes and bakes, It was time for a rebrand. The Bakehouse Derby was created.

The Bakehouse Derby offers Cakes & Bakes for all your celebration needs. From Luxury Cupcakes to Wedding Cakes and Brownie boxes.

We attend seasonal Markets in Derby and surrounding areas and stock our bakes at Been Coffee and The Stables.

Here at The Bakehouse Derby we love to make people happy through Cake. Our goal is to provide you with something beautiful and simply delicious.
